Weyerhaeuser redefines asset creation process and improves capital project effectiveness

The Weyerhaeuser project is an excellent example of how Trinity Technologies principals become a part of client organizations. At Weyerhaeuser, Trinity principal Dr. Katy Johansson resides with the Capital Effectiveness Team several days a week. She assists the team in its capital asset creation redesign effort and serves on several task teams created for the redesign effort. Dr. Johansson also serves as an advisor and facilitator to team members and their leaders.

Project Initiatives

Dr. Johansson’s main role is to maintain high-level focus during the definition process and help prepare the company for enterprise-wide implementation. By introducing examples from other companies as needed, Dr. Johansson has helped minimize institutional resistance to change. She facilitated benchmarking between Weyerhaeuser and other process companies with similar interests and goals.

Beyond working on basic work process redefinition, Dr. Johansson took an active role in developing company-wide communication plans, including developing strategies to disseminate information to critical audiences.
