TrinityBRIDGE is a powerful, yet easy to use, utility for migrating data between different systems. The utility uses a drag-N-drop metaphor to “build” the migration process on what is referred to as a “map”. The process includes Input, Validation, Transform, and Export functions. Developing a map is as easy as using drag-N-drop and does not require custom programming. Execution of the map performs the migration and can produce both success and failure reports. Executions can be performed both interactively as well as in batch-mode (in the background). Also, it is scalable so that it can easily handle large data transfers. Transfer to and from Documentum can handle not only metadata but also content. In addition, it also handles renditions, virtual documents, built-in and custom attributes, relationships, and versioning. TrinityBRIDGE is a great tool for migrating data from Microsoft Exchange and Sharepoint into EMC’s Documentum. Since it is completely configurable, data migration can be accomplished from any third-party or custom application.
