Shiraz Jaffer Joins Trinity Technologies to Strengthen eBusiness Services

Brings Extensive Background from Process and Power Industries

Wellesley, MA — October 16, 2000 — Trinity Technologies Corporation today announced that Shiraz Jaffer has joined the company as Executive, Emerging Technologies. Jaffer has an impressive history with enabling plant design and lifecycle data management technologies and, more recently, in emerging eEngineering solutions for the process and power industries. He will play a principle role in development of strategic information technology (IT) implementations for Trinity’s clients — some of the world’s most successful providers of oil and gas, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other process products. Jaffer will also serve as a major guiding liaison to Trinity’s existing and future industry partners.

“We are indeed proud and delighted to have someone with Shiraz Jaffer’s prestige join our Trinity team,” says Joseph P. Morray, Jr., President of Trinity Technologies Corporation. “Shiraz brings an in-depth understanding of how owner-operators and engineering companies can maximize their return on IT investments and benefit from new eBusiness strategies.”

“I look forward to the challenges of applying emerging e-business technologies to the needs of this most technically demanding industry,” says Jaffer. “Trinity’s combined focus on technology, business practices and organizational change provides the key to success.”

Jaffer brings more than 30 years’ experience serving the process and power industries, including considerable tenure providing leading software technologies to these industries. He comes to Trinity following a highly successful term at Intergraph Corporation, where he provided leadership in defining corporate marketing strategies for plant design and lifecycle data management solutions to the company’s most successful business unit: Process and Building Solutions. There he held the positions of Vice President of eEngineering Solutions and Vice President of Marketing.

Prior to that time, Jaffer was with EA Systems Inc. for 13 years, holding numerous positions and ultimately advancing to President of EA Systems. In this capacity, Jaffer was instrumental in the acquisition of EA, then a subsidiary of Digital Equipment Corporation, by AEA Technology plc.
