Trinity Technologies’ ISE (Intelligent Search Engine) Software Now Available for Text Searching and Term-Hit Highlighting for All File Types in Documentum
Search Gigabytes of Data in CAD and Text Files in Seconds
Houston, TX — January 27, 2003 — At DaratechPlant 2003, Trinity Technologies announced the availability of ISE (Intelligent Search Engine) software — pronounced “eyes” — that allows users to search virtually any file format, including drawings, in Documentum. ISE substantially extends the capabilities of Documentum search functions using term-hit highlighting — the ultimate tool for both the Intranet and Desktop Client environments.
Using ISE with Documentum is like having a powerful set of eyes to search every document for specified terms. In seconds, ISE searches gigabytes of information, including word processing files, CAD files, and text files of all types. Simply type in specified words or phrases and ISE provides a list of files and highlights all instances of the specified words or phrases within each document.
Of particular importance is ISE’s ability to show all documents where the specified text is found without having to open any file. The preview pane displays the results of the search and relieves users from having to laboriously open each file to see if it is relevant to the search. In the preview pane, search results can be displayed either singly or as a snippet. This feature is useful for large documents such as operating procedures, maintenance instructions, licensing documentation, reports and drawings.
