Rob Wubbenhorst Joins Trinity Technologies in Houston Office

Brings Construction Automation Experience and Perspective of Engineering Contractor Firms

Wellesley, MA — October 13, 1999 —Trinity Technologies Corporation, Trinity Technologies Corporation, an information technology consultant for the process and power industries, announced today that P. Robert Wubbenhorst, Jr., 29, has joined Trinity as a client technical manager. Previously the Manager of Construction Automation at Fluor Daniel, Inc., Wubbenhorst brings the perspective of the engineering-construction company to Trinity. In his new role, he will provide technical consulting to owner-operators.

“Trinity focuses on the automation needs of owner-operators, who work hand-in-hand with engineering, procurement, and construction companies (EPCs),” says Joseph Morray, Jr., president of Trinity Technology. “Rob's experience developing construction automation tools and integrating systems adds tremendous value to Trinity's services.” “I am excited to be a part of the Trinity team,” says Wubbenhorst. “I look forward to helping owner-operators leverage information about their plants to benefit all phases of project design, construction, turnover, operation, and maintenance.”

Prior to joining Trinity, Wubbenhorst worked in Sugar Land, Texas, managing Fluor Daniel's initiatives to introduce automation to construction sites. He supervised a team of construction automation engineers who implemented automation systems on Fluor Daniel projects for Dow, Solutia, Union Carbide, Nova Chemicals, Shell, Exxon, Amoco, and several other companies.

At Fluor Daniel, Wubbenhorst's focus was developing and implementing on-site systems to improve project execution. Significant improvements to productivity and project value were achieved through the use of integrated 3D models, mobile computing devices, bar coding of materials and timekeeping systems, and radio frequency networking.

While attending the University of Florida, he supervised the construction school's computer lab and trained students on the use of estimating and scheduling software. From 1993 to 1995, Wubbenhorst worked at Sverdrup Facilities, Inc. in Orlando, Fla., estimating and scheduling commercial and industrial projects.

Wubbenhorst has published several papers on the use of computer applications in the construction and rigging industry in journals of the ASC, IAARC, and SC&RA. He has a BS in Building Construction from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MS in Building Construction from the University of Florida.
