Houston, TX — Daratech Plant `99 — January 26, 1999 — Trinity Technologies Corporation, an information technology consultant for the process and power industries, announced today that it has signed a commercial agreement with Impact Systems, Inc. of Chadds Ford, Pa. Through the agreement, Trinity will leverage Impact Systems' more than 60 customization and programming experts in the U.S. and India. The agreement will benefit Trinity's customers — some of the largest owner/operators in the process and power industries — by helping them move faster from prototyping to delivery of production grade systems that leverage plant data.

A Lotus Premium Partner and Documentum® Signature Partner, Impact Systems is recognized for Documentum®-document management customizations, graphical user interfaces, collaboration, and workflow applications. Trinity provides consulting and implementation services to help companies develop workflows and IT systems to better cultivate financial returns on plant life cycle activities, from capital projects through plant operations and maintenance.

“How well process companies can harness plant data residing in CAD, 3D modeling, document management, maintenance management, and other information systems is increasingly a key factor in competitiveness,” says Joseph Morray, Jr., president of Trinity Technologies Corporation. “Working with Impact Systems, Trinity can help our clients move more quickly in this direction.”

A recent survey by Trinity Technologies Corporation of 30 leading process industry owner/operators revealed a large gap between the availability of new information technologies and the ability of companies to assimilate these technologies to remain competitive. According to the survey, 80 percent of managers judged information management as critical to competitiveness, yet only 15 percent of respondents rated their company’s IT implementations as above average. “There is a natural synergy between Trinity Technologies and Impact Systems,” says Mangesh Honwad, president of Impact Systems. “Our agreement with Trinity furthers our mission to evolve Impact Systems into a ‘production engine’ for development and customization projects. Our global resources and multilingual capabilities enable Impact Systems to deliver services worldwide and to work on projects without interruption - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
