Trinity Technologies Promotes Three Top Executives
Newly International Company Structures to Serve Information Technology Needs of Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Petrochemical Manufacturing Companies
Philadelphia, PA, San Jose, CA, Boston, MA — February 6, 2000 — a business process consulting and information technology (IT) services company announced today the promotion of three principals and one associate to executive positions. The appointment follows the opening of a European office in Runcorn, England and a year of record growth in 1999.

Dr. Katy Johansson of San Jose, California, will take the position of Director, Client Services, and will be responsible for ensuring Trinity delivers consistently superior value to clients, designs new services, and expands Trinity’s presence with clients. Katy is employee number five at Trinity, and has served as an account manager for Abbot Laboratories, Dow Corning, Weyerhaeuser and California ISO. She previously worked for Independent Project Analysis (IPA) Corp., and Eastman Kodak. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in Physical Chemistry.
Rebecca Ward of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania has been promoted to the position of Director, Business Development, with responsibility for ensuring that Trinity attracts new clients for its evolving services. Rebecca joined Trinity in early 1999, and has serviced as account manager for Abbot Laboratories and Air Products. She has been instrumental in creating a sales orientation within the company and identifies new prospects and markets. Rebecca was previously Director of Marketing for Bentley Systems Incorporated and Vice President of Marketing for Jacobus Technology. She was one of the founding members of CADCentre, Inc. and was instrumental in establishing CadCentre's presence in the US from the United Kingdom.
Rick Ekstrand of Boston, Massachusetts will take the position of Chief Technology Officer along with his current title as Vice President, Technology. Rick joined Trinity in 1996 and was their third employee of the company. An expert in several IT disciplines, Rick founded the company's technical services strategy and architects virtually all of Trinity's implementations worldwide. Rick has worked extensively with Air Products Chemicals and GEG and Stone & Webster. Rick holds Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island.
