Trinity Technologies Selected to Moderate Panel at PlantSuccess: What’s the Skinny on Thin Client?

Distinguished Panelists Discuss Using the Web for Accessing and Deploying Technologies for Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations

Philadelphia, PA — October 8, 2002 — At PlantSuccess, President of Trinity Technologies Joseph P. Morray, Jr. will moderate a panel entitled “Web-Based Technology — What’s the Skinny on Thin-Client” from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm on October 10, 2002. The panel includes distinguished panelists from AVEVA Consulting, Bentley Systems, Inc. OSI Software, and Ivara Corporation who will examine the key benefits and challenges to the thin client approach, lessons learned, and share personal experiences. PlantSuccess is an annual conference focused on best practices of new and developing technology for suppliers, contractors and owners of the process industry. The conference is held October 9 and 10, 2002 at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott Hotel.

Mr. Morray will lead the panel through discussions of the emergence of the web browser as a standard for data retrieval and harvesting; the effects of faster network speeds; the proliferation of intranet systems within companies; the advantage of server-based software that does not require administration at the desktop; and how the intuitiveness of the interface has brought uniformity to many applications.

As president of Trinity Technologies, Mr. Morray consults with process companies in the chemical, energy, power, and pharmaceuticals industries, to enhance the use of automation tools for the plant lifecycle. During his career, Mr. Morray has worked with some of the largest users of engineering information systems in the U.S, Europe, and Asia. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences and is considered one of the leading experts in the automation of plant information.
