SWORD Inc. and Trinity Technologies Corp. Sign Cadtop Agreement to Benefit Regulated Industries

Houston, TX — November 17, 2006 — SWORD Inc., the North American operations of SWORD Group headquartered in Houston, TX, and Trinity Technologies Corp., Wellesley, MA, USA, have joined forces in a new marketing and reselling agreement for Cadtop. Cadtop delivers a comprehensive solution for managing computer aided design (CAD) files and their external references or XREFs.

Signed in October 2006, the CSIR for Certified Systems Integrator Reseller harnesses the companies’ complimentary systems and solutions for the management of CAD files and related engineering information within EMC Corporation’s Documentum® repository, the leader in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM). The partnership means that Trinity not only sells Cadtop, but is also qualified/trained to implement and support the solution, as well as provide training throughout North America.

SWORD and Trinity have already partnered on Cadtop implementations and several more are in the planning stages or are being quoted. The two companies are long-time, highly successful Documentum business partners.

The SWORD offering supports AutoCAD® from Autodesk® Inc. and MicroStation® from Bentley® Systems Inc. Cadtop manages XREFs, which hold the contents of a CAD files including dozens and sometimes hundreds of individual documents. Cadtop adds functionality to Documentum ECM, managing the linked drawing components called XREFs (the externally referenced files), images or cells. XREFs hold file components together when they are moved between servers.

SWORD and Trinity have joined forces to deliver an offering that fills the information management gap for a cost-effective system scaled for CAD departments, engineering-oriented business units, facilities management divisions, and manufacturers.

Trinity is a world-class document and information management consulting and systems integration company. “The importance of the Cadtop agreement to us cannot be overstated,” stated Shiraz Jaffer, Vice President of Business Operations for Trinity. “This option for the management of CAD files within Documentum can now be scaled from department to an enterprise-scale solution. The Cadtop CSIR gives us and our customers a very cost-effective solution.”

”SWORD Group developed Cadtop specifically to preserve XREF intelligent links when files are moved outside vaults and repositories,“ said Steven Birnam, business development manager for SWORD Inc. “Cadtop prevents any loss of information by allowing CAD operators to manage file transfers from within their everyday CAD environment. It also ensures the accuracy and enables the reuse of CAD drawing title blocks in CAD drawings.”

Birnam added, “CAD operators are accustomed to storing their drawings and linked files in common directories on a shared server. With all the updates and links to multiple versions of a drawing, XREFs are easily broken. In regulated industries, any missing information can be critical,” he explained.

“Cadtop protects CAD operators and everyone who depends on the accuracy, currency and completeness of their work,” Birnam added. “It is a vital piece of the information management matrix for systems integrators like Trinity.” Documentum has certified Cadtop for both ”Desktop” and “Webtop” installations.

Cadtop’s reliability in maintaining XREF links prevents any loss of information while Documentum ECM manages drawing versions and controls access to the drawings. In addition, Cadtop brings the silo of CAD data into the enterprise by allowing non-CAD users to view and mark up engineering information.
