CADCapture® Application

Trinity offers the CADCapture Application, an effective way to capture CAD files (DGN and DWG) and index them within Documentum. Referenced lines, equipment and instrument numbers are electronically delivered as attributes.

Integrating content and electronic files within Documentum requires that attributes related to those files be created and registered within Documentum.

Creating and registering attributes in Documentum can be a major hurdle for documents such as P&IDs, for which there may be hundreds of referenced equipment, instruments and pipelines. The CADCapture Application automatically identifies related component information and imports these as attributes into Documentum.

Trinity helps you dramatically reduce the time required for indexing CAD files, handling the process as a background batch process. The application can be invoked at check-in for new files, ensuring that intelligence of the document is maintained.

For most content management projects within an operating manufacturing plant, the capture of legacy data can represent as much as 50 percent of the total cost of the project. Trinity’s CADCapture Application reduces both the cost and cycle time for this endeavor.
