Design Basis Application

One of the most important activities in a design effort for a process or power facility is the collection, retention and archiving of design-basis information associated with facility equipment. Trinity Technologies helps you ensure that information created during the design phase can be used throughout the life of the plant.

The Trinity Design Basis Application was created for real-life project work processes and is applicable to any complex process facility program. It provides a Documentum-based workflow system for registering documents against equipment tag numbers and predefined documentation requirements.

The Design Basis Application also establishes a complete record of equipment design, a historical record of all revisions and a formal record of the review and approval cycles associated with the documentation. This is particularly helpful in heavily regulated industries—such as nuclear power generation, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals—in which many forms of information must be maintained for on-demand review by the appropriate regulatory body. At the completion of a project, the Documentum database is fully populated and turned over to the operations organization.
